The Rules

When we decided to start this podcast, we established a few rules for the movies we would cover. Just so you're aware, here they are.

  1. All rules are variable and can be ignored or superseded at any time.
  2. Any movie considered should have a budget of less than 2 million US dollars. The general exception to this are movies that are part of a "Special Edition" episode.
  3. Any movie discussed will have a horror element, though we will occasionally include Sci-Fi or Fantasy as well.
  4. We will watch the movie we discuss IMMEDIATELY before recording the episode in which we discuss it.
  5. Episodes will be uploaded monthly. The exception to this are "Special Edition" episodes, which may include interviews and can appear at any time (so stay tuned!).
  6. If in doubt, refer to rule number 1.
All movies will be rated as: STANDS, when the movie stands up just as well today as when it was released; REMAKE, where it could be reintroduced to a bigger audience by being remade with a larger budget and / or slightly altered script; or IGNORE, where the movie is just so bad it's best left to fade into obscurity. If the movie is newer, REMAKE is off the table, and we'll posit whether it will STAND the test of time or FADE into movie oblivion. If it already has a remake, we'll state that fact, and then rate the original on STAND or IGNORE. Sound complicated? It's not. Just listen and you'll get it. If you're hung up on the rating alone, you're kind of missing the point, though....

While not a rule, specifically, we will point out that our opinions are just that, and are not meant to interfere or contradict any opinions you or anyone else holds on the movies we discuss during the course of the show. We will also mention that we cannot guarantee language suitable for all audiences, so let the listener beware. Also, every episode may contain MAJOR SPOILERS for the movie we're discussing, so if you haven't seen it, want to, and want to be surprised, watch the movie before you listen to that episode.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle (G.I. Joe!).
